A warm and welcoming family based in Islington are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper to support the care of their two children, aged 8 and 10 years old, while helping to keep their home clean, organised and running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and dependable candidate who enjoys working with school-aged children and is happy to combine childcare with household responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be kind, organised and able to manage after-school routines while maintaining a tidy and welcoming home. The family also have a friendly dog, so applicants must be pet friendly and comfortable around animals. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive after-school care for the children
- school pick-ups and accompanying the children to activities when required
- assisting with homework and encouraging independent learning
- planning engaging, age-appropriate activities
- preparing healthy snacks and simple evening meals for the children
- general housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping children’s bedrooms, study areas and communal spaces tidy and organised
- walking or caring for the family dog when needed
- running occasional household errands
- helping ensure the household runs smoothly each day
