A lovely family based in Cambridge are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper nanny to provide morning household support while assisting with the care of their two children, aged 3 and 6 years old. This is a wonderful opportunity for a proactive, organised and caring candidate who enjoys balancing housekeeping duties with childcare in a friendly family home.
The role will focus primarily on housekeeping during the morning, with some childcare support as required. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, have excellent organisational skills and enjoy helping busy families keep their home running smoothly. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care for the family
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing simple, healthy meals or snacks for the children when required
- providing childcare support before or after nursery and school as needed
- planning engaging activities for the younger child during time together
- assisting with school and nursery routines when required
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- running occasional household errands when needed
- ensuring the home remains clean, welcoming and running smoothly at all times
