A wonderful family based in Epperstone are seeking an experienced and proactive full time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their home and prepare delicious family meals. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated candidate who enjoys creating a well-organised household while producing fresh, nutritious food. Both live in and live out candidates will be considered.
The ideal candidate will be organised, flexible and able to work independently while maintaining high housekeeping standards. Applicants must be pet friendly and comfortable working around the family’s dogs. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- general housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and household storage areas
- planning and preparing fresh, healthy family meals
- batch cooking and meal preparation when required
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- grocery shopping and monitoring household supplies
- running household errands when required
- assisting with occasional table setting and clearing after meals
- helping with the care of the family’s dogs when needed
- ensuring the home remains tidy, welcoming and running efficiently at all times
