A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate housekeeper / carer / cook to support a lovely couple in their home in Ringwood. One client is living with Parkinson’s disease and the other is recovering following heart bypass surgery. The family are looking for a kind, reliable and proactive candidate who can provide practical support while helping to maintain a clean, organised and comfortable home.
The ideal candidate will be caring, patient and discreet, with previous experience in a similar role. They should be confident assisting with day-to-day household tasks, preparing nutritious meals and offering companionship where needed, while respecting the clients’ independence and routines. Excellent references are essential.
Duties would include:
- providing companionship and day-to-day support to the clients
- assisting with daily routines while encouraging independence
- preparing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals
- planning weekly menus and grocery shopping when required
- general housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the home tidy, organised and welcoming
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials
- running household errands and collecting prescriptions when required
- providing light assistance with mobility where appropriate
- accompanying the clients to appointments or outings if needed
- maintaining a calm, respectful and supportive environment at all times
