A household based in Fulham, London is seeking a reliable and experienced part time cook to prepare fresh, delicious meals for the household. This is a regular but seasonal position, working once a week for 20 weeks each year, starting in December.
The ideal candidate will have previous cooking experience and enjoy preparing a variety of tasty, well-balanced meals. They should be organised, confident working independently and happy to plan meals, manage ingredients and leave the kitchen clean and tidy after cooking.
Duties include:
- planning and preparing fresh meals for the household
- cooking a variety of dishes to suit the household’s preferences
- preparing balanced and nutritious meals using fresh ingredients
- planning menus in advance
- organising ingredients and preparing them for cooking
- managing food shopping and checking kitchen supplies
- catering to any dietary requirements or preferences provided by the household
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and cleaning kitchen surfaces after cooking
- storing food safely and correctly
- ensuring meals are prepared and ready at the agreed time
- using initiative to keep the cooking process organised and efficient
