A lovely household based in Brixton, London is seeking an experienced and reliable full time housekeeper to help maintain their home to a high standard. This is a Monday to Friday position with some flexibility required, including occasional help with cooking.
The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience, be organised and thorough, and take pride in keeping a home clean, tidy and well presented. They should be happy to assist with simple meal preparation when needed and feel comfortable working in a home with two dogs.
Duties include:
- carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- making beds and changing bed linen
- managing laundry and ironing
- keeping the home clean, tidy and well organised
- maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property
- organising wardrobes and household belongings
- helping with meal preparation and simple cooking when required
- keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- washing up and tidying after meals
- monitoring household supplies and arranging replenishments when needed
- receiving deliveries and assisting with household errands when required
- being comfortable working in a home with two dogs
- using initiative to manage daily household tasks independently
- ensuring the home remains welcoming, organised and running smoothly
