A household based in Teddington is seeking a caring, reliable and experienced live in housekeeper / carer / cook to provide household support, prepare meals and assist with day-to-day care. This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, attentive and takes pride in helping a home run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have experience with housekeeping, cooking and providing care, with a kind and patient approach. They should be comfortable working independently, able to manage their time well and understand the importance of maintaining a clean, comfortable home while providing considerate and respectful support.
Duties would include:
- carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- making beds and changing bed linen
- managing laundry and ironing
- keeping the home clean, tidy and well organised
- preparing fresh and nutritious meals
- planning meals and organising food shopping
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and tidying after meals
- providing day-to-day care and practical support as required
- assisting with daily routines and personal needs where appropriate
- offering companionship and emotional support
- helping with mobility and everyday activities where required and within their training
- monitoring general wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
- managing household supplies and arranging replenishments
- carrying out household errands when required
- maintaining the individual’s dignity, privacy and independence
- ensuring the home remains comfortable, safe and welcoming
- maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times
