A lovely family based in Winchmore Hill are seeking an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper to care for their two young children, aged 2 years and 10 weeks. This is a lovely opportunity for a warm, nurturing and reliable candidate who is confident caring for both a baby and a toddler while also helping with the general upkeep of the family home.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with babies and toddlers and be confident managing feeding, naps, changing and age-appropriate activities. They should also be organised and practical, with good housekeeping skills and the ability to keep the home clean and tidy throughout the day. The successful candidate should be patient, proactive and able to work independently. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for both children
- managing the children’s daily routines
- following the baby’s feeding and sleeping schedule
- preparing bottles and age-appropriate meals and snacks
- supporting the toddler with mealtimes and feeding
- changing nappies and dressing the children
- settling the baby for naps
- organising age-appropriate play and activities
- supporting the toddler’s development through play and interaction
- reading stories, singing and engaging in stimulating activities
- taking the children for walks and outings
- attending suitable baby and toddler groups when appropriate
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
- washing and sterilising bottles and feeding equipment
- washing and organising the children’s laundry
- changing children’s bedding and towels
- keeping toys and children’s belongings organised
- preparing bags and belongings for outings
- carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning and tidying the kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- loading and unloading the dishwasher
- keeping bathrooms clean and tidy
- assisting with laundry and ironing
- maintaining a clean and organised household
- running occasional child-related errands
- ensuring both children are happy, safe and well cared for at all times
