A lovely family based in Thames Ditton are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper cook to support their household a few afternoons each week. The role will involve caring for their two children, aged 5 and 2 years old, after school and nursery, while also assisting with light housekeeping and preparing simple family meals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a warm, proactive and organised candidate who enjoys a varied role within a friendly family home.
The family live in a four-bedroom house, with three bedrooms in regular use. A candidate who speaks Polish would be a huge advantage, as the family would love someone who can communicate with the children in Polish to help develop their language skills. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children after school and nursery
- supporting the children’s afternoon and evening routines
- planning fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities
- encouraging learning and development through play
- communicating with the children in Polish where possible
- preparing healthy snacks and simple family meals
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- undertaking light housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and family living areas
- laundry and ironing when required
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- helping keep the household tidy and well organised
- running occasional household errands if required
- ensuring the home remains welcoming and running smoothly each day
