A lovely family based in Holland Park are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper / cook to care for their 11-year-old child while providing support with housekeeping and meal preparation. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children, be confident managing after-school routines and enjoy preparing fresh, healthy meals. They should also be organised, practical and happy to take responsibility for keeping the home clean and well presented. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and reliable care for the child
- supporting the child’s after-school routine
- collecting the child from school when required
- assisting with homework and school-related tasks
- planning age-appropriate activities and outings
- preparing healthy snacks and meals
- preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
- planning simple menus according to the family’s preferences
- organising ingredients and grocery shopping when required
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the child’s bedroom and living areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running occasional household errands
- ensuring the home remains clean, comfortable and running smoothly at all times
