A welcoming family in Clapham are seeking a reliable and experienced part time nanny housekeeper cook to support their household during the afternoons and early evenings. The role will focus on caring for their 4-year-old child after school, while also helping with household tasks and preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the family.
This is an ideal role for a warm and organised candidate who enjoys a varied position combining childcare, cooking and housekeeping. The successful candidate will be proactive, trustworthy and confident managing routines independently. Previous experience working in a private household and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- collecting and caring for the child after school
- providing a safe, nurturing and engaging environment
- organising fun and educational activities suitable for the child’s age
- supporting the child’s development and encouraging independence
- helping with reading, creative play and homework when required
- preparing nutritious snacks and evening meals
- cooking simple, healthy family meals
- assisting with evening routines including bath and bedtime preparation
- keeping children’s areas clean, tidy and organised
- undertaking light housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning and maintaining kitchen, bathrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and organising children’s clothes
- changing bed linen and making beds when required
- shopping for groceries and household essentials
- keeping the kitchen clean and well organised after cooking
- ensuring the household runs smoothly during the family’s busy afternoons and evenings
