A lovely family based in Bourne Hill are seeking an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper to care for their two children, aged 2 years and 10 weeks old, while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, nurturing and reliable candidate who is confident caring for both a young child and a baby.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for babies and toddlers and be confident supporting feeding, naps, changing and age-appropriate activities. They should also be organised, proactive and happy to assist with general housekeeping duties. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for both children
- supporting the baby’s feeding, changing and sleeping routines
- preparing and giving bottles and age-appropriate meals
- changing nappies and dressing the baby
- settling and soothing the baby when required
- providing age-appropriate activities and stimulation
- supporting the 2-year-old with their daily routine
- organising creative, educational and outdoor play
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals for the children
- supporting mealtimes and encouraging good eating habits
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- washing and sterilising bottles and feeding equipment
- doing the children’s laundry and keeping clothing organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running occasional household errands when required
- ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for at all times
- helping to keep the home clean, organised and running smoothly
