A lovely household in Beaconsfield are looking for an experienced full time housekeeper to take care of the day-to-day running and upkeep of their home. The family are looking for someone dependable, hardworking and well organised who takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping a home clean, comfortable and beautifully presented.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently and managing all aspects of housekeeping, from detailed cleaning and laundry to maintaining household organisation. They should be discreet, trustworthy and have excellent attention to detail. The position can be offered on either a live in or live out basis, depending on the candidate’s preference and circumstances. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- carrying out daily housekeeping to a high standard
- thorough cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas
- vacuuming and mopping floors throughout the property
- dusting, polishing and cleaning household surfaces
- cleaning the kitchen and keeping it well organised
- cleaning kitchen appliances and work surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- washing, folding and organising household linen
- making beds and changing bed linen
- changing towels and keeping bathrooms well stocked
- looking after wardrobes and clothing
- organising cupboards, drawers and household storage
- keeping the home tidy and clutter free
- monitoring household cleaning and laundry supplies
- ordering or purchasing household essentials when required
- receiving and organising household deliveries
- running occasional household errands
- maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout the property
- assisting with general household organisation and other reasonable duties
- using initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly each day
