A lovely household in Waterford, Hertford, are looking for an experienced full time live out housekeeper to join their home. The role will involve taking responsibility for the day-to-day housekeeping and ensuring the property is kept clean, tidy and well presented at all times.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in private household housekeeping, with a good eye for detail and a proactive approach to their work. They should be reliable, discreet, well organised and comfortable working independently. The family are pet friendly, so the successful candidate should be comfortable around pets. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- carrying out daily housekeeping to a high standard
- thorough cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas
- vacuuming and mopping floors throughout the property
- dusting, polishing and cleaning household surfaces
- cleaning and maintaining the kitchen
- keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- cleaning kitchen appliances and work surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- washing, folding and organising household linen
- making beds and changing bed linen
- changing towels and maintaining bathrooms
- looking after wardrobes and clothing
- organising cupboards, drawers and household storage
- keeping the home tidy and clutter free
- monitoring household cleaning and laundry supplies
- ordering and replenishing household essentials when required
- receiving and organising household deliveries
- maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout the property
- assisting with general household organisation
- being comfortable working around the family’s pets
- using initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly each day
