A lovely elderly couple based on Bayswater Road are seeking an experienced live in housekeeper / carer to provide practical household support and companionship while helping them maintain their independence. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, organised and reliable candidate who enjoys working in a private household and is happy to provide both housekeeping and light care duties.
The successful candidate will be provided with a private double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and kitchen. Someone who is flexible and able to travel with the couple from time to time would be highly desirable. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties would include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing all household surfaces
- managing laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- changing bed linen and maintaining household linens
- keeping the home clean, organised and well presented
- preparing fresh, nutritious meals and refreshments
- shopping for groceries and household essentials
- running household errands when required
- providing companionship and emotional support to the couple
- assisting with light personal care if required
- supporting medication reminders where appropriate
- accompanying the couple to appointments, outings and social activities
- liaising with healthcare professionals and family members when necessary
- travelling with the couple when required
- ensuring the home remains safe, comfortable and running smoothly at all times
