A private household in Marylebone is looking for an experienced and dependable full time live out housekeeper / cook to become a valued member of their household team. The role will involve taking care of the day-to-day housekeeping as well as preparing fresh and enjoyable meals for the household.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in private households, well organised and confident working independently. They should have good cooking skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach, taking pride in keeping the home clean, comfortable and well maintained.
Duties include:
- taking responsibility for the daily housekeeping of the home
- cleaning and maintaining all rooms to a high standard
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing
- cleaning and maintaining bathrooms and kitchen areas
- making beds and changing bed linen
- laundry and ironing
- organising wardrobes and household belongings
- keeping living areas tidy and presentable
- preparing fresh and nutritious meals for the household
- planning meals and preparing ingredients
- managing food shopping and keeping the kitchen well stocked
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and clearing away after meals
- receiving deliveries and putting items away appropriately
- monitoring household supplies and arranging replenishments
- assisting with household errands when required
- keeping the home organised and running smoothly
- using initiative to manage daily tasks without constant supervision
- maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times
