A lovely family based in Epperstone are seeking an experienced full time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their home to a high standard while preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the family. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organised and reliable candidate who enjoys creating a clean, well-managed home and is confident in family cooking. The role is available on either a live in or live out basis.
The family have children, although no childcare duties are required, and they also have dogs, so applicants must be comfortable working in a pet-friendly household. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, use their initiative and provide high-quality housekeeping and cooking support. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- preparing fresh, healthy family meals
- planning weekly menus and accommodating dietary preferences
- shopping for groceries and household supplies
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- monitoring household stock and replenishing essentials
- running household errands when required
- being comfortable around the family’s dogs and assisting with light pet-related tasks if needed
- liaising with the family to ensure the household runs smoothly
- ensuring the home remains welcoming, organised and efficiently managed at all times
