A lovely family based in Barnet are seeking an experienced after school nanny to care for their two children, aged 5 and 8 years old. This is a lovely opportunity for a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who can provide a happy and engaging environment for the children after school and support them through their afternoon and evening routines.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children and be confident managing school collections, homework, activities and evening routines. They should be organised, responsible and able to use their initiative while following the family’s routines and preferences. Previous nanny experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- collecting the children from school
- providing attentive and nurturing after school care
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
- supporting mealtimes and encouraging good eating habits
- assisting with homework, reading and school-related tasks
- organising fun and age-appropriate activities
- arranging creative, educational and outdoor play
- taking the children to clubs, activities and outings when required
- supporting bath time and evening routines
- helping the children prepare for the following school day
- organising school bags, uniforms and children’s belongings
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
- washing up and tidying after the children’s meals
- running occasional child-related errands
- ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for at all times
