A lovely household based in Richmond, London is seeking an experienced and reliable part time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their home and prepare fresh, home-cooked meals. This is a regular position working four days per week, with some flexibility around the daily hours.
The ideal candidate will have previous private household experience and be confident managing both housekeeping and cooking duties. They should be organised, hardworking and have good attention to detail, with a genuine pride in keeping a home clean, comfortable and well presented. The candidate should also be happy to work in a pet-friendly household.
Duties include:
- carrying out thorough general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- making beds and changing bed linen
- laundry and ironing
- keeping the home tidy, clean and well organised
- maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property
- preparing fresh and healthy meals for the household
- planning simple meals and preparing ingredients
- managing food shopping and keeping the kitchen well stocked
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and tidying after meals
- monitoring household supplies and arranging replenishments when required
- keeping household areas neat and presentable
- assisting with occasional household errands when required
- being comfortable working in a pet-friendly home
- using initiative to manage daily tasks independently
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly
