A lovely family of three based in South Woodford is seeking an experienced and reliable part time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their home and prepare meals for the family. This is a regular Monday to Wednesday position, working 10:00am to 5:00pm.
The ideal candidate will have previous private household experience and be confident managing general housekeeping alongside simple, fresh home cooking. They should be organised, hardworking and take pride in keeping the home clean and well presented. The family has three dogs, so the candidate should be comfortable working in a pet-friendly household.
Duties include:
- carrying out thorough general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- making beds and changing bed linen
- laundry and ironing
- keeping the home tidy, clean and well organised
- maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property
- preparing fresh and healthy family meals
- planning simple meals and preparing ingredients
- keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- washing up and tidying after meals
- managing household food and cleaning supplies
- keeping the child’s areas tidy and organised
- being comfortable working in a home with three dogs
- using initiative to assist with additional household tasks when required
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly
