A private household in St John’s Wood, London is looking for an experienced and reliable Live In Housekeeper / Cook to join their household. The role is Monday to Saturday, with 8 hours of work per day, and would suit someone who is confident managing the daily housekeeping of a home to a high standard.
The successful candidate should have previous private household experience and be confident with both housekeeping and cooking duties. They should be organised, hardworking and discreet, with a good eye for detail and pride in maintaining a clean, tidy and well-run home.
Duties include:
- carrying out thorough cleaning throughout the home
- dusting and polishing all surfaces
- vacuuming and mopping floors
- cleaning and maintaining bathrooms
- cleaning and maintaining the kitchen
- keeping living and dining areas clean and presentable
- changing bed linen and making beds
- laundering household clothing and linens
- ironing and folding laundry
- keeping bedrooms organised and well presented
- preparing fresh home-cooked meals
- planning daily meals
- grocery shopping and purchasing household supplies
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- loading and unloading the dishwasher
- keeping household supplies well stocked
- managing household rubbish and recycling
- carrying out occasional household errands
- ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard at all times
