A lovely family in Holland Park are looking for an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper / cook to become a trusted part of their household. The role involves caring for their 11-year-old child during the afternoons while also helping with housekeeping, meal preparation and the general organisation of the home.
The ideal candidate will be warm, dependable and proactive, with previous experience working with school-aged children and in private households. They should be confident supporting the child’s after-school routine and preparing nutritious family meals, while taking pride in keeping the home clean and organised. The family are looking for someone who is happy to commit to the role long term and can work independently. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- collecting the child from school when required
- providing attentive and responsible childcare
- supporting the child’s afternoon and evening routine
- preparing snacks and meals for the child
- preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
- planning meals around the family’s preferences
- assisting with homework and schoolwork
- supporting the child’s hobbies and interests
- organising suitable activities and outings
- taking the child to after-school clubs and activities when required
- helping the child prepare for the following school day
- keeping the child’s bedroom and personal areas tidy
- organising school bags, uniforms and belongings
- carrying out general housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing
- laundry and ironing
- changing bed linen and towels
- making beds and maintaining bedrooms
- caring for and organising clothing and wardrobes
- keeping cupboards and storage areas organised
- maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen
- grocery shopping and purchasing household supplies
- monitoring household provisions
- cleaning kitchen appliances and surfaces
- washing up and clearing away after meals
- running occasional household errands
- keeping the home well presented and organised
- using initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly
