Position: Part Time Housekeeper Cook

A busy family in Hartfield are looking for an experienced part time housekeeper / cook to help keep their home clean, organised and running smoothly. The family have three children and a Labrador, and the property has four bedrooms, with three in regular use. This role would suit someone practical, dependable and confident managing a household to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and able to balance housekeeping with preparing family meals. They should have good attention to detail, take pride in their work and be happy working in a family home with a dog. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- carrying out daily housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning the three bedrooms in regular use
- occasionally cleaning the additional bedroom
- cleaning and maintaining bathrooms
- vacuuming and mopping floors
- dusting and polishing furniture and surfaces
- cleaning the kitchen and living areas
- keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- laundry and ironing
- changing bed linen and towels
- making and maintaining beds
- keeping children’s rooms and common areas tidy
- preparing fresh family meals
- preparing lunches, snacks and meals for the children
- planning meals in line with the family’s preferences
- grocery shopping and purchasing household supplies
- keeping food and household provisions well stocked
- cleaning kitchen appliances when required
- washing up and clearing away after meals
- organising household cupboards and storage areas
- running occasional household errands
- keeping the home well presented and welcoming
- being comfortable working around the family’s Labrador
- assisting with other reasonable household tasks when required
