A lovely family based in Bengeo, Hertfordshire, are seeking an experienced full time live out housekeeper to take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of their six-bedroom home. The family have four children, but there are no nannying duties involved, making this an excellent opportunity for a dedicated housekeeper who can focus fully on maintaining the household to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will have previous private household experience and be confident managing all aspects of housekeeping independently. They should be organised, efficient, discreet and have excellent attention to detail. The household has one small dog and two cats, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working in a pet-friendly home. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- wardrobe and clothing care
- organising children’s clothing and household belongings
- keeping children’s bedrooms and common areas tidy
- organising cupboards and household storage areas
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- cleaning kitchen appliances and household surfaces
- washing up and tidying after meals
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials
- receiving deliveries and assisting with household organisation
- running occasional household errands when required
- keeping the home tidy, organised and beautifully presented
- being comfortable working around one small dog and two cats
- assisting with other reasonable household tasks when required
- ensuring the property remains clean, comfortable and running smoothly at all times
