A lovely household based in Esher are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper / cook to provide regular support with the smooth running of their home. This is a flexible position where the successful candidate can work either live out or live in, depending on preference. The property has four to five bedrooms, with only two bedrooms currently in regular use, and a separate annex is available for live-in accommodation.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive and highly organised, with previous private household experience and a good eye for detail. They should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and enjoy preparing fresh, home-cooked meals. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and take pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable and well-presented home. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- wardrobe and clothing care
- organising cupboards and household storage areas
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing fresh, healthy home-cooked meals
- planning simple menus according to the household’s preferences
- shopping for groceries and household essentials when required
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing items as needed
- cleaning kitchen appliances and ensuring the kitchen is kept to a high standard
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- running occasional household errands when required
- ensuring the property remains clean, comfortable and welcoming at all times
