A lovely household based in Woolwich are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their three-bedroom home and provide regular support with meal preparation. This is a great opportunity for a reliable, organised and proactive candidate who takes pride in keeping a home clean, tidy and well presented while preparing fresh, home-cooked meals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a private household, be confident with general housekeeping and enjoy cooking for a family. They should be able to work independently, manage their time effectively and use their initiative. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties would include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing fresh, healthy home-cooked meals
- planning simple menus and preparing meals according to the family’s preferences
- shopping for groceries and household essentials when required
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing items when needed
- cleaning kitchen appliances and ensuring the kitchen is kept to a high standard
- organising cupboards and household storage areas
- running occasional household errands
- ensuring the home remains clean, comfortable and welcoming at all times
