A lovely couple based in North Warwickshire are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper / cook to support the smooth running of their home. The couple will be the main residents, with their children visiting regularly, so the successful candidate should be comfortable maintaining a welcoming and well-presented home while preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the household.
The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable and proactive, with previous experience in a private household. They should take pride in their work, have good attention to detail and be confident managing housekeeping and cooking duties independently. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties would include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing fresh, healthy home-cooked meals for the couple
- preparing meals when their children visit
- planning simple menus and preparing shopping lists when required
- shopping for groceries and household essentials
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing items when needed
- organising cupboards and household storage areas
- cleaning kitchen appliances and ensuring the kitchen is kept to a high standard
- assisting with occasional household errands
- ensuring the home is welcoming and well prepared when family members visit
- maintaining a consistently clean, comfortable and well-organised household
