A lovely family based in Lambeth are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper cook to provide after-school care for their two children, aged 5 and 8 years old, while assisting with housekeeping and preparing fresh, healthy meals for the family. This is an excellent opportunity for a warm, organised and proactive candidate who enjoys a varied role within a busy family home.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children, be confident managing afternoon and evening routines, and enjoy maintaining a tidy home while preparing nutritious family meals. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- collecting the children from school when required
- planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- assisting with homework and encouraging learning
- preparing healthy snacks and nutritious evening meals
- supporting after-school and evening routines
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- vacuuming, dusting and maintaining a tidy household
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care for the family
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
- running occasional household errands when required
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
