A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced live in housekeeper couple to join a welcoming household in Chichester. The family are looking for a professional, hardworking and trustworthy couple who can work together to ensure the home and grounds are maintained to an exceptional standard. This is a long-term role offering excellent private accommodation in a spacious three-bedroom cottage.
One member of the couple must be a confident driver. The successful couple will be proactive, organised and capable of managing both housekeeping and general property duties while using their initiative. Previous experience working as a housekeeper couple within a private household and excellent references are essential. The successful couple will enjoy separate accommodation in a spacious three-bedroom cottage, offering privacy and comfort while working on the estate.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and household storage areas
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials when required
- receiving deliveries and liaising with contractors when necessary
- ensuring the home remains clean, tidy and beautifully presented at all times
- driving for household errands and appointments when required
- general property maintenance and upkeep
- gardening and maintaining the outdoor areas
- cleaning and caring for the family’s vehicles
- monitoring the condition of the property and reporting maintenance issues
- running household errands and collecting supplies
- helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the household and grounds
