A friendly family based in Northstowe are seeking an experienced temporary live in nanny to care for their energetic 4-year-old twins during a short-term placement from mid to the end of November. This is a wonderful opportunity for a caring, patient and enthusiastic nanny who enjoys working with young children and can provide a structured, engaging and nurturing environment throughout the placement.
The successful candidate will be confident managing the routines of two children of the same age, while encouraging their learning, independence and social development through play and everyday activities. The family are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable and able to become a positive part of the household for the duration of the role. Previous experience in a similar position and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing full care for the twins throughout the day
- planning stimulating indoor and outdoor activities
- encouraging learning through creative and educational play
- preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children
- supporting daily routines, including dressing, hygiene and mealtimes
- helping establish calm bedtime and evening routines when required
- taking the children to local parks, activities and outings
- keeping the children’s bedrooms, bathrooms and play areas clean and organised
- washing, ironing and organising the children’s clothing
- packing bags and preparing everything needed for outings
- monitoring the children’s wellbeing and developmental progress
- communicating regularly with the parents about the children’s day
- ensuring a safe, happy and caring environment at all times
