A lovely family of five based in Notting Hill are seeking an experienced full time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their beautiful four-storey home while preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the family. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organised and reliable candidate who enjoys balancing high-quality housekeeping with confident family cooking. The role is available on either a live in or live out basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a private household, be able to work independently and have excellent attention to detail. Applicants should also be comfortable working in a home with two small dogs. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the four-storey home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and reception rooms
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and household storage areas
- keeping the home tidy, clutter free and well presented
- preparing fresh, healthy breakfasts, lunches and evening meals for the family
- planning weekly menus and accommodating dietary preferences
- shopping for groceries and household supplies when required
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- monitoring household stock and replenishing essentials
- running household errands when required
- being comfortable around the family’s two small dogs
- liaising with the family to ensure the household runs smoothly
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and welcoming at all times
