A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced live in housekeeper to join a welcoming household in Horsford, Norfolk. The family are looking for a proactive, organised and trustworthy candidate who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful home and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This is a long-term position offering separate private accommodation, making it ideal for someone seeking a comfortable live in role with an excellent work-life balance. Someone who can drive is needed for this role.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a private household, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Applicants must also be comfortable working in a home with dogs. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and household storage areas
- keeping the home tidy, clutter free and well presented
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- monitoring household supplies and reporting when items need replenishing
- running household errands when required
- receiving deliveries and liaising with contractors when necessary
- being comfortable working around the family’s dogs
- helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the household
- reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and welcoming at all times
