A lovely family based in Poole are seeking an experienced and caring full time live in nanny housekeeper to care for their 1-year-old child while supporting the smooth running of their home. The family are also expecting their second baby in November 2026, making this an exciting long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys growing with a family. Evening babysitting may occasionally be required, with plenty of notice given in advance.
The family are happy to offer either live in accommodation within the family home or separate accommodation nearby. The ideal candidate will be warm, organised and proactive, with previous experience caring for young children and maintaining a well-run household. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the 1-year-old child
- supporting feeding, nap and developmental routines
- planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- supporting the child’s learning and developmental milestones
- assisting with the transition to welcoming a new baby later in the year
- general housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care for the family
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the nursery, children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running household errands and grocery shopping when required
- preparing simple family meals when needed
- providing occasional evening babysitting by prior arrangement
- ensuring the home remains organised, welcoming and running smoothly each day
