A lovely family in Ashtead are looking for an experienced and dependable part time housekeeper cook to provide support with the smooth running of their home. The role will involve maintaining excellent housekeeping standards alongside preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the family. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who enjoys creating an organised household environment and takes pride in their cooking.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient and confident managing their own workload. A driver is essential for this position, as the role may involve shopping, errands and other household-related driving duties. Previous experience in a private household and excellent references are required.
Duties would include:
- maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the home
- carrying out detailed cleaning of all rooms including bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing surfaces
- managing laundry, ironing and clothing care
- changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms
- keeping cupboards, wardrobes and storage areas organised
- preparing fresh and nutritious meals for the family
- planning meals and managing food preparation
- cooking a variety of dishes to suit the family’s preferences
- preparing meals in advance and batch cooking when required
- shopping for groceries and household essentials
- driving for errands and household tasks when needed
- maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation
- helping with general household organisation and daily upkeep
