A lovely family based in Battersea are seeking an experienced and caring part time nanny / housekeeper to care for their 13-month-old child while helping with the smooth running of the household during the afternoons and evenings. This is a wonderful opportunity for a warm, organised and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with light housekeeping duties.
The ideal candidate must be a fluent Spanish speaker, as the family would like their child to be immersed in the language through everyday interaction and play. Someone who enjoys cooking and can prepare healthy family meals would be highly desirable, although this is not essential. Previous experience caring for toddlers and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the child
- speaking Spanish with the child throughout the day
- supporting feeding, nap and developmental routines
- planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- supporting the child’s evening routine
- general housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
- laundry and ironing, particularly for the child
- keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running light household errands when required
- preparing simple family meals if able to cook
- helping ensure the home remains organised, welcoming and running smoothly each day
