A lovely family based in Wimbledon are looking for an experienced and caring part time nanny / housekeeper to support their busy household. The role involves caring for three children aged 5 years, 3 years and 4 months old. From September, the two older children will both be attending the same school, while mum will be at home caring for the baby. The position will involve a combination of shared care and sole charge of the older children.
The ideal candidate will be warm, energetic and organised, with experience caring for young children and supporting busy family routines. The family are happy to combine the role with general housekeeping for candidates who enjoy household duties, although this is optional. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- sharing childcare responsibilities with mum when required
- sole charge of the older children when appropriate
- school pick-ups and supporting the after-school routine
- planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- assisting with homework and encouraging independent learning
- preparing healthy snacks and simple evening meals for the children
- supporting bath time and bedtime routines
- keeping the children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings tidy and organised
- helping with children’s laundry and wardrobe care
- assisting with general housekeeping if desired, including light cleaning, laundry and keeping communal areas organised
- ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for at all times
