A lovely household based in Godalming is seeking an experienced and reliable part time housekeeper to help maintain their home to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised candidate who enjoys creating a clean, tidy and well-managed household. The family are looking for someone who can work independently and use their initiative to ensure the home runs smoothly.
A confident driver is essential for this role, and applicants must be pet friendly and comfortable working around the family’s pets. Someone who enjoys cooking and is happy to prepare occasional home-cooked meals would be highly desirable, although this is not essential. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are required.
Duties include:
- general housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and storage spaces
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- running household errands when required
- monitoring household supplies and assisting with shopping if needed
- driving for household-related errands when required
- preparing simple home-cooked meals on occasion if able
- helping ensure the household runs smoothly and efficiently each day
