A lovely family based in Ashtead are seeking an experienced and reliable part time housekeeper / cook to assist with the smooth running of their home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised candidate who enjoys maintaining a well-presented household while preparing fresh, home-cooked meals. There may also be occasional babysitting for the family’s two children, aged 6 and 8 years old.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing household duties independently, with a flexible and positive approach. A driver is essential for this role, and occasional Sunday work may be required by mutual agreement. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties would include:
- general housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and storage spaces
- planning and preparing fresh, healthy family meals
- batch cooking and meal preparation when required
- keeping the kitchen clean and well organised
- running household errands and grocery shopping when needed
- providing occasional babysitting for the children
- driving for school, activities or household errands when required
- helping ensure the home remains organised, welcoming and efficiently managed at all times
