A lovely family based in Southwark are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper to care for their two children, aged 3 and 6 years old, while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household support.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for young children, be confident managing daily routines and happy to use their initiative around the home. The family are pet friendly, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working around pets. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- supporting nursery and school routines
- planning fun and age-appropriate activities
- organising creative, educational and outdoor play
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals for the children
- supporting mealtimes, naps and daily routines
- assisting with bath time and evening routines when required
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing simple family meals when required
- running occasional household errands
- being comfortable working in a pet-friendly household
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
