A friendly family in Orpington are looking for a reliable and experienced part time nanny housekeeper to join their household and provide support with their three children, aged 5, 8 and 11 years old. The role will involve a mixture of childcare and housekeeping duties, making it ideal for a candidate who enjoys creating a warm and organised family environment.
The successful candidate will be caring, proactive and confident managing children of different ages, while also taking responsibility for household tasks during the day. Someone who is comfortable around pets would be preferred, as the family would ideally like a pet-friendly candidate. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are required.
Duties include:
- caring for the children after school and supporting their daily routines
- collecting the children from school and accompanying them to activities when required
- helping with homework, reading and school preparation
- organising creative play and age-appropriate activities
- preparing family meals, snacks and drinks
- assisting with evening routines including bath time when needed
- encouraging independence, confidence and good behaviour
- keeping children’s bedrooms, toys and belongings organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning and tidying kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- managing laundry, ironing and children’s wardrobes
- changing bed linen and maintaining household linens
- shopping for groceries and household essentials when required
- helping with pet care if needed
- ensuring the home remains clean, comfortable and well organised
