A lovely family based in Lambeth are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper to care for their three children, aged 3, 6 and 8 years old, while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household support.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for children of different ages and be confident managing daily and after-school routines. They should also be organised, practical and happy to assist with general housekeeping and light meal preparation. A driver is required for the role, and the successful candidate should be pet friendly and comfortable working around animals. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- supporting the children’s morning and after-school routines
- school and nursery drop-offs and collections when required
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
- assisting with homework, reading and school-related tasks
- planning fun and age-appropriate activities
- organising creative, educational and outdoor play
- taking the children to clubs, activities and appointments when required
- supporting bath time and evening routines
- driving the children to school, activities or appointments when required
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- organising school bags, uniforms and children’s belongings
- running occasional household errands
- being comfortable working in a pet-friendly household
- ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for
- helping to keep the home clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
