A lovely family based in Islington, London is seeking a warm, reliable and organised part time nanny / housekeeper to support with their two school-aged children, aged 8 and 6. This is a split-shift role, with morning and afternoon responsibilities focused around the children’s school routines and some light housekeeping.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children and be confident managing morning and afternoon routines independently. They should be punctual, responsible and happy to help keep the home tidy during the afternoon shift.
Duties include:
- getting the children ready for school in the morning
- helping with breakfast and ensuring the children are ready to leave on time
- walking the children safely to school
- collecting the children from school in the afternoon
- ensuring the children are settled and comfortable after school
- providing attentive and responsible care for the children
- supporting the children’s daily routines
- preparing simple snacks when required
- carrying out light tidying around the home
- keeping the children’s areas neat and organised
- tidying the kitchen after breakfast and afternoon snacks
- putting away children’s belongings and school items
- ensuring the home remains tidy and organised during the afternoon
- using initiative to assist with small household tasks when required
