A lovely family based in Dartford, Kent are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper to support their busy household and care for their three children, aged 2 years, 6 years and 4 months. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who is confident caring for children of different ages while also helping with the general upkeep of the home.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for babies and young children, be confident supporting daily routines and happy to assist with housekeeping duties. They should be nurturing, organised and able to work independently while following the family’s routines and preferences. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- supporting the baby’s feeding, changing and sleeping routines
- providing age-appropriate care and activities for the 2-year-old
- supporting the 6-year-old with their daily routine
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals for the children
- organising creative, educational and outdoor activities
- supporting school or nursery routines when required
- assisting with bath time and bedtime routines
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping children’s clothing and belongings organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and tidying after meals
- running occasional household errands when required
- ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for
- helping to keep the home clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
