A lovely family based in Godalming are seeking an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper / cook to support their household and care for their two children, aged 14 and 10. This is a varied role suited to a reliable, organised and proactive candidate who is confident caring for older children while also helping with housekeeping and meal preparation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with school-aged children and be comfortable supporting their daily routines, activities and school-related needs. They should also have good housekeeping skills and enjoy preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the family. A driver is required for the role, and the successful candidate should be trustworthy, flexible and able to work independently. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing reliable and supportive care for the children
- helping with the children’s daily routines
- school runs and driving the children to activities when required
- supporting homework and school-related tasks
- organising activities and outings
- preparing healthy snacks and meals
- cooking fresh, home-cooked meals for the family
- planning meals around the family’s preferences
- grocery shopping and purchasing fresh ingredients
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and personal areas tidy
- organising school bags, uniforms and belongings
- carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping wardrobes and clothing organised
- maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen
- loading and unloading the dishwasher
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials
- running occasional household errands
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- assisting with general household tasks as required
- using initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly
Requirements:
Current Paediatric First Aid
Current Enhanced DBS
UK Work Permit
