A lovely household based in Totteridge are seeking an experienced full time live out housekeeper / carer / cook to provide comprehensive support with the smooth running of their home. This is a varied position combining high-standard housekeeping, cooking and caring responsibilities, suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who takes pride in providing excellent support within a private household.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be confident managing housekeeping, cooking and caring duties independently. They should be organised, discreet and attentive, with excellent communication skills and a caring nature. A confident driver is essential for the role, particularly for household errands, appointments and other duties as required. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- wardrobe and clothing care
- organising cupboards and household storage areas
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing fresh, healthy home-cooked meals
- planning simple menus according to the household’s preferences
- shopping for groceries and fresh ingredients when required
- monitoring household supplies and replenishing items as needed
- providing caring and attentive support to the client when required
- assisting with daily routines and practical tasks
- accompanying the client to appointments or outings when required
- driving for appointments, errands and household activities
- running household errands and managing grocery shopping
- keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- ensuring the household runs smoothly and efficiently at all times
