A household in Hammersmith is looking for a capable and dependable part time cook to assist with weekday meal preparation. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking fresh, home-style food and can work efficiently within a short afternoon shift.
The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and confident preparing meals independently. They should be able to follow the household’s preferences, manage ingredients carefully and leave the kitchen clean and tidy after each shift.
Duties would include:
- preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the household
- cooking a variety of dishes to suit the family’s tastes
- preparing vegetables, sauces and other ingredients
- planning meals in line with the household’s preferences
- checking ingredients and keeping track of food supplies
- assisting with food shopping when required
- following any dietary requirements provided by the household
- ensuring meals are ready for the agreed serving time
- maintaining good food hygiene and safe food storage
- cleaning kitchen surfaces and cooking equipment after use
- washing up and putting kitchen items away
- keeping the kitchen tidy and organised
- using time efficiently to complete cooking tasks
- taking initiative to ensure meal preparation runs smoothly
