A warm and friendly family in Bexley are looking for an experienced part time nanny to care for their 9-month-old baby. This is a lovely opportunity for a nurturing and dependable nanny who enjoys working with babies and can provide attentive care while following the family’s routine.
The successful candidate will have strong baby experience and be confident with all aspects of day-to-day care, including feeding, naps, changing and organising stimulating activities. They should be patient, proactive and able to create a safe and engaging environment for the baby. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- caring for the baby throughout the day
- following the baby’s established routine
- preparing bottles and age-appropriate meals
- supporting the baby’s weaning and feeding routine
- changing nappies and dressing the baby
- settling the baby for naps and maintaining a suitable sleep routine
- sterilising bottles and keeping feeding equipment clean
- organising stimulating and age-appropriate activities
- supporting the baby’s physical, social and developmental milestones
- reading stories, singing and engaging in interactive play
- taking the baby outdoors for fresh air and walks
- attending suitable baby groups and local activities
- keeping the nursery, play areas and baby’s belongings tidy
- washing and folding the baby’s laundry when required
- keeping toys and baby equipment clean and organised
- preparing the baby’s bag and belongings for outings
- washing up and tidying after meals
- running occasional child-related errands
- keeping the parents updated on the baby’s routine and progress
- ensuring the baby is safe, happy and well cared for at all times
