A lovely family based in Barnet are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper / nanny to care for their two children, aged 7 and 9 years old, while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children and be confident managing school routines, after-school activities and homework. They should also be organised, practical and happy to take responsibility for general housekeeping duties. A confident driver is required for the role, particularly for school runs, activities and household errands. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- collecting the children from school or activities when required
- providing reliable after-school care
- supporting homework, reading and school-related tasks
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
- planning age-appropriate activities and outings
- taking the children to activities and appointments when required
- supporting the children’s evening routines
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and living areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- grocery shopping and running occasional household errands
- driving the children to school, activities or appointments when required
- using the family car responsibly for work-related duties
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
Requirements:
Current Paediatric First Aid
Current Enhanced DBS
UK Work Permit
Valid Driver’s License
