A lovely family based in Camden are seeking an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper to care for their two children, aged 8 and 10 years old, while providing support with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children, be confident managing after-school routines and happy to assist with general housekeeping. They should be organised, responsible and able to use their initiative while following the family’s routines and preferences. Someone pet friendly is ideal for this role. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and reliable care for the children
- supporting the children’s daily and after-school routines
- school pick-ups when required
- preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
- assisting with homework and reading
- planning fun and age-appropriate activities
- organising creative and outdoor play
- taking the children to activities or appointments when required
- supporting evening routines
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and belongings tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running occasional household errands when required
- helping to keep the home clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
