A lovely household based in Petts Wood is seeking an experienced and passionate part time chef to prepare fresh, nutritious and delicious meals three days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and organised chef who enjoys working in a private household and takes pride in producing high-quality home-cooked food tailored to the family’s preferences.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a private chef or cook, excellent knowledge of a variety of cuisines and the ability to work independently. They should be organised, efficient and confident managing all aspects of meal planning, shopping and kitchen organisation. Excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- planning varied and nutritious weekly menus
- preparing fresh lunches and evening meals
- cooking healthy, balanced and seasonal dishes
- batch cooking and preparing meals for the week ahead
- accommodating dietary requirements and family preferences
- shopping for fresh ingredients and household food supplies
- maintaining kitchen stock and monitoring food inventory
- ensuring excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- keeping the kitchen organised and well maintained
- storing and labelling prepared meals appropriately
- liaising with the family regarding menu preferences and special occasions
- ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation at all times
